Yes. Just contact me with details about which piece, or pieces, interest you. I will let you know if available, along with the price(s).
Yes. Cost of shipping will depend on size of piece and destination. And sometimes my wife Lisa decorates the shipping containers.
The purchaser pays for materials, shipping and insurance costs.
Sure is. Simply contact me to make arrangements.
What I create is based on the materials I have. If you ask me to make a monkey, wearing a cowboy hat and bolo tie, driving a '56 Chevy, with a German Shepherd dog in the passenger seat, I'll certainly pass. (True story.)
This is actually the most frequently asked question. They are sculptures. They do not move. Some have lights.
I went to both Lehigh University and University of California, Santa Barbara for degrees in math. My art education came from living with and working for painter Irma Cavat in Santa Barbara, working for sculptor George Rickey in both Santa Barbara and East Chatham, NY, and working for ceramicist Beatrice Wood in Ojai, CA. My very patient art teacher in Santa Barbara was my friend, sculptor Ken Bortolazzo.
I have a blog on this site because I'm told it's good for SEO purposes. The link is Talbotics Blog.

Tal Avitzur is an assemblage artist whose found-object sculptures are created from vintage items collected from the auto, aircraft and marine salvage yards of Southern California. Many of his fantasy-themed, mixed-media sculptures are heavily influenced by the science fiction, mythology and comic books of his youth. Tal's unique, whimsical, one-of-a-kind, steampunk-like art can be found in the homes, offices and man-caves of collectors who embrace their inner child. Tal's studio, workshop and gallery is located in Santa Barbara, California and is a short drive from Los Angeles, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties.
